I discussed this to a lawyer. He said that even if I file in August, it will still be accepted since I am qualified to apply in July. This is a bit confusing.
I was thinking of looking for new employer which already has all the paperworks done (10 + 30 days). These are valid until 180 days. I hope to find one so that I can file this July.

He is the Governor of California, the state with one of the highest employment-based green card applicants. Also one of the states with the highest Immigration Voice members.
He is anti illegal immigration and recently made comments about illegals which created a furore (albeit among illegals and pro-amnesty groups, but they were heard). He might want to align with us to show he is pro-immigration.
Come on members, let's work out a campaign to gain his attention. He wants to be a champion, so let's give him a cause.

Another bummer, of course, is that without GC you will be charged "out of state" tuition no matter how long you have lived in that state, except California and Texas, where, as far as I know, even illegals can get "in-state" tuition.:cool:

nothing to worry about, it happened to me too,
I opened an SR and two weeks later my wife got FP and I didn't, I thought I'll wait for a week or two but in vain. When I gave a follow-up call I came to know that FP was scheduled at my Attorney's place (I live in west coast and I was scheduled to attend FP at ASC in East coast) and the twist is my attorney never received it.on top of it when I asked the Rep about possibility of scheduling an FP at my place she advised me to file AR-11 form, at this point it was very clear to me that Rep doesn't have a clue on what she is talking about. the very next day I was luck to get hold of nice rep who said I quote
" I don't understand why these people schedule FP at attorney�s location"
he apologized and said he will open an SR to reschedule at my location and he assured me that this time it will be at my location, which I got in couple of weeks.
Hope you will get your FP notice soon.

apply for perm...by the time it gets approved..u may be eligible for 140 premiuim..as per the new rule...
but there is a catch...your labor shoudl be in process for atleast a year..for you to apply for H1 extension....hmmm...Gurus on this board may shed some light on it...

u can log onto USCIS website and check the status of ur past and pending cases.
but u need to know the LIN #'s...
so add ur previous 140 case and check for any updates..simple!

My passport is filled with various schengen visas.
I take the insurance from Travelex. It costs around $25 for one person.
I once had an issue where one of the connecting flights was missed because the previous flight got delayed due to technical issues and since I booked from different travel agents, I had to shell out $300 bucks.
I called Travelex to get the details about refund. They sent me a form. After that I procrastinated. Travelex kept sending me reminders that I have not sent the filled form (really, which insurance company wants to remind users about claims?).
I sent the form and my refund came back within a week.
I like Travelex insurance because it takes 10 minutes online and I expense it as part of my biz trips.
I really really would like to see Europe issue longer duration visas. Their Schengen visa is plain ridiculous.
By the way, I just came back from Europe yesterday.
Many countries in Europe have free healthcare. So it is not really an issue to get healthcare. The insurance helps you when you have to be transported back or such in very very unfortunate cases.

They have too few people to do the job. When your app switches to priority processing it gets to another queue. When it is near the end of the 15 days they send an RFE simply because they can't complete it in time. Now they have at least another 15+ days to complete the thing.

I had a non-traffic citation few years ago, which got dismissed and expunged. I do not have any documents relating to that incidence. I don't even recall the charges. I did background check with Sheriff's office which showed no records.
How should I present this on form I-485 (question about citation/arrest)?
Could you be specific on this citation. Its always advisable and safe to show all citations recorded in the application. If you are not comfortable dropping in more information in this forum, talk to an attorney and seek advise on your specific case.

When they say "Continued Heavy Demand", what does it mean? Howcome there can be demand with Older Priority Dates? Labor Substitution is no longer possible so there can't be new demand with Older PD. So howcome PD goes back? Does anybody have insight into that?

You are really lucky! I guess since my application was fresh I could not efile. Or I read many posts about how paper filing is way to go to get faster approvals. I think with USCIS everything seems unpredictable.
I am really hoping that mine comes soon.
I e-filed my AP application on Dec 29 at TSC and got the approval email yesterday ... Got approved in 2 weeks.
